Volunteers at Bethel Community church on Sandfields Road, Port Talbot have been working hard over the past few weeks. Due to the current crisis, the team have pulled together and are working within the community to help those who need it most.
The team have worked tirelessly to provide food boxes to people in self-isolation or unable to afford food. Sally Bradley the Bethel Trust/ Jubilee Protect outreach manager recently received a call from a social worker about someone who hadn’t eaten in five days. None of the volunteers are paid, they all come from the local area to give their time to help those in need.
If you’d like to help you can get in touch with them on Facebook on either the Jubilee Project or Bethel Community Church. Donations are welcome and the team always need carrier bags for food deliveries.
