Pinkbike – Shimano BDS Round 1 2014

Working with Pinkbike to provide coverage for the first round of the 2014 Shimano British Downhill Series.

The last weekend of March saw the BDS arrive at a new venue. With purpose built trial centres like Antur Stiniog popping up in areas that fell into decline after the demise of industry they were once known for, the outdoors industry is breathing new life into Wales. Antur Stiniog is a non-profit organisation located in what remains of the biggest slate mine in the world. The trail centre, based in Blaenau Ffestiniog opened it’s doors in 2012 and offers a range of trails. The British Downhill Series hosted the first round of the series here, opting to use it for the first time due to it’s growing popularity, great facilities and challenging track.
